Five Things to do in My Town

This entry is part of the “5 Things to Do in My Town” series where we asked Our State readers and fans to become the town tour guide and tell us what to do when visiting their town. Enjoy!

1. Enjoy brunch at Peak City Grill – the food is wonderful and the ambiance is awesome.

2. Grab some ice cream at Pelican’s, where they make homemade ice cream on-site.

3. Make your own souvenir at Paint Your Pot. It’s a great spot for fun with children or girls night out.

4. Take a walk or a bike ride on the American Tobacco Trail. The flat, shaded trail makes for a lovely afternoon outing.

5. Go see a performance at the Halle Cultural Arts Center. My daughter’s ballet school performs there several times a year. Since I was born and raised in Apex, I love the fact that a historical building has been reborn.
