Since 1933, Our State: Down Home in North Carolina has been a vibrant member of North Carolina's community of citizens who care about the people of the Tar Heel State. Now, your not-for-profit organization can raise funds by selling subscriptions to the magazine through a program called Community Partners.

What is Our State's Community Partners?

Our State magazine's Community Partners is a fund-raising program for not-for-profit organizations.Through subscription sales, groups raise money. For each new subscription sold, Our State contributes $5 to that particular organization.

Who is eligible to participate?

Any not-for-profit group in North Carolina raising money for projects, programs, or general support.

How much can we make?

When you sell a subscription to Our State through the Community Partners program, Our State contributes $5.00 to your organization. The final amount received is up to you. A minimum of 20 new subscriptions must be sold to be eligible for the Community Partners benefit.

Because Our State is the only publication devoted to North Carolina travel, history, and folklore, it appeals to everyone from newcomers looking to learn more about their home state to longtime residents seeking to find a unique back road adventure.

How will my community group benefit from Our State's Community Partners program?

• Your group will raise funds to support your worthwhile projects and programs.
• Your group will be associated with the Our State name, a beloved North Carolina institution.
• Your organization will receive free advertising! Our State will feature your organization in the magazine, enabling supporters of your group to learn of your needs.
• More than over 725,000 readers, all potential contributors, will learn of your fund-raising needs.

What support will I be given?

You will receive:

• Complimentary magazines to entice prospective subscribers
• Customized subscription forms with your group's name
• Free advertising in Our State on the Community Partners' page
• Promotional and publicity support materials
• In addition, Our State will provide for you the administrative materials and instructions for your Community Partners subscription sales campaign
