I’m trying to spark interest in Greensboro’s own Talmadge Farlow. Truly an inspired Jazz guitarist. in fact, i’m listening to Jazz Masters 41, now.

These are great artists and most are justly world famous. (and where are Billy Strayhorn and Mary Lou Williams and Grady Tate?)
Please don’t forget about our current crop of Grammy nominated jazz talent like John Brown (bass) and Nnenna Freelon (vocals), as well as solid players like Chip Crawford (piano), Eve Cornelious (vocals), Frank Kimbrough (piano), Gregg Gelb (sax and clarinet), Ed Butler, (drums), and of course we still miss the venerated Brother Yusef Salim.
