Submit a Tar Heel Memory

Do you have a Tar Heel Memory you’d like to share with fellow Our State readers? We’re looking for stories with a clear beginning, middle, and end — stories that may include cherished traditions, local customs, a unique event, or whatever makes you glad to call North Carolina “home.”

To submit your story, fill in the required fields below, including the text of your article. We ask that your story be a minimum of 500 words. If you have your article available in a Microsoft Word document and would like to send us the file, click here to send an email with that attachment.

We will pay $125 if we publish your story.
