This signature event kicks off Black History Month by showcasing the rich history, achievements, and cultural contributions of African Americans in North Carolina. The AACC consists of a virtual education day on Friday and an in-person festival on Saturday with demonstrations, presentations, and performances.
Note: While the North Carolina Museum of History building is closed for renovation, this year’s festival is being held at the North Carolina Museum of Art. Activities will take place in the East Building and Gipson Plaza. Parking is available in the three main museum parking lots.
