Michael Burritt, one of his generation’s leading percussionists, is going to grace the stage at Van Dyke Performance Space this spring. Having performed on four continents and in more than 40 states, he currently serves as Professor of Percussion at the Eastman School of Music, only the third person in the history of the school to hold the position. Mr. Burritt is also active as a composer and his works for solo marimba have become standard repertoire for the instrument, so this is a performance you don’t want to miss.
