“Nothing represents summer more to me than watermelon and gathering together with friends and family. Cookouts and sunny days are reason enough to celebrate with this delicious and refreshing sangria. Remember, fresh is best. Adjust the drink’s sweetness by adding more or less simple syrup, or add your favorite summer flavors to make it distinctively yours. Cheers!”

Single serving
¾ ounce citrus vodka
¾ peach schnapps
½ watermelon schnapps
2 ounces watermelon juice
½ ounce fresh lemon juice
½ ounce simple syrup
top with sparkling wine

Slice watermelon into 1-inch thick slices. Cut away the rind. Slice the fruit into cubes. Blend cubes until smooth. Strain juice through a fine mesh metal strainer and set aside.

Build in a wine or Collins glass over ice. Garnish with a watermelon wedge, fresh mint sprig, and lemon twist.

For an added thrill, try making ice cubes with the juices and a little bit of water. They’ll keep your drink cold without diluting the flavor as they melt!

Batch recipe
½ cup citrus vodka
½ cup peach schnapps
¼ cup watermelon schnapps
3 cups watermelon juice
¼ cup fresh lemon juice
¼ cup simple syrup
1 bottle sparkling wine

Combine all ingredients in a punch bowl with fresh lemon slices, fresh mint sprigs, and watermelon cubes. Serve over ice in glassware of your choice. To keep the punch cold, freeze an ice ring of watermelon juice, lemon juice, and water mixed with fresh fruit and mint.
