This dish won third place in the Local Flavor Recipe Contest: Strawberries, presented by Lowes Foods.

Yield: 1 serving. 

2 tablespoons mascarpone cheese
1 cup unsweetened almond milk, divided
2 teaspoons instant coffee
1 tablespoon sugar
5-6 fresh strawberries, cleaned, hulled, and chopped
Cocoa powder for topping

1. In a saucepan, add mascarpone cheese, 1/4 cup almond milk, instant coffee, and sugar. Place saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir until smooth. Remove saucepan from heat and let cool for about 10 minutes.

2. In a blender, place strawberries, 3/4 cup almond milk, and cheese mixture. Blend until smooth.

3. Return drink mixture to saucepan to warm it up.

4. Pour strawberry tiramisu drink into a serving cup and sprinkle with cocoa powder.
