DAY 1: FLIGHT – ST. LOUIS, MO
Arrive in St. Louis, meet your tour director and transfer to your hotel. St. Louis was once the major gateway for westward pioneers and is now home to a revitalized waterfront and wonderful museums. Tonight, enjoy a Wine & Beer Reception prior to your Welcome Dinner with fellow Our State travelers.

DAY 2: ST. LOUIS – BRANSON
This morning, enjoy a panoramic St. Louis City Tour to see the famous Gateway Arch and Union Station, the former train station converted into a shopping complex. Then travel to Branson, considered “The Live Music Show Capital of the World!” Enjoy two nights in Branson and take in several shows and attractions. Enjoy a Welcome Dinner in Branson before attending the first of your four included shows. Experience one of the top music and dance shows in Branson, the Duttons Show. The Dutton Family performers play everything from bluegrass to classical and feature a variety of instruments.

DAY 3: BRANSON
Today, see the Doug Gabriel Show, Branson’s most Awarded Performer and one of the longest running shows in town. Later, venture out on a panoramic Branson City Tour featuring the enhanced downtown waterfront, Branson Landing, and learn the history of Branson from small mountain town to show capital. This afternoon, board the largest lake cruise vessel in America, the Showboat Branson Belle, to enjoy dinner and a music show while cruising picturesque Table Rock Lake. Tonight, enjoy Russian comedian Yakov Smirnoff, with his hilarious observations of life in America during his Yakov Smirnoff Show.

DAY 4: BRANSON – LITTLE ROCK – MEMPHIS
This morning, travel to Little Rock, the capital of Arkansas. Visit the Clinton Presidential Library and Museum, featuring replicas of the Oval Office and the Cabinet Room, photograph and video exhibits, and a timeline presenting the work of former President Clinton.
Later, arrive in Memphis, Tennessee for a two-night stay. Located on the banks of the mighty Mississippi River, Memphis is a music capital known as the birthplace of blues, rock ‘n’ roll, and soul. Tonight, visit action-packed Beale Street, filled with restaurants, shops, and blues clubs including B.B. King’s Blues Cafe. Enjoy dinner at a popular local restaurant on Beale Street.

DAY 5: MEMPHIS
This morning, enjoy a tour of Elvis Presley’s famous Graceland, a 14-acre estate museum and entertainment complex. See Elvis’ original business office, trophy building, and meditation gardens where the “King” is laid to rest.
Later, enjoy a Memphis City Tour to learn more about this great Southern city. Travel along the Mississippi River and see Victorian homes and cultural landmarks, like the Pyramid Arena. This afternoon, visit the National Civil Rights Museum, an experience that covers centuries of history. The visit begins at the original Lorraine Motel, the site where Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated.
Today, also visit the famous Sun Studio, known worldwide as “The Birthplace of Rock ‘n’ Roll.” The studio is the discovery location of musical legends and genres of the 50’s, from B.B. King and Elvis Presley to Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis; from blues and gospel to country and rock ‘n’ roll.

DAY 6: MEMPHIS – NASHVILLE
Today, travel through central Tennessee to Nashville. Rolling terrain, magnificent mansions, and historic sights decorate the countryside as your route brings you to Music City USA. Arrive at the amazing and renovated Gaylord Opryland Resort to begin a two-night stay. The resort complex features three interior gardens under glass roofs with waterfalls, a river, and lake system with passenger-carrying flatboats, plus a variety of restaurants, lounges, and shops. This evening, enjoy a performance of the famous Grand Ole Opry Show, a Nashville highlight.

DAY 7: NASHVILLE
Enjoy a Nashville City Tour to see the Parthenon (replica), Old Ryman Auditorium, the State Capitol, and famous Music Row. Later, visit the Country Music Hall of Fame to see how country music has evolved through the past 70 years. The Hall of Fame features memorabilia and displays in a museum setting. Tonight’s Farewell Dinner is at the famous Nashville Nightlife Dinner Theatre, where you will experience a celebration of country music from both past and present.

DAY 8: NASHVILLE – HOME

What to expect on an Our State trip:
Traveling with a group of Our State readers is an enriching, enjoyable, and safe way to experience new cultures, people, and places. In addition to the informative narration from the tour director and local guides, an Our State host will be available to assist in making your trip successful.
We usually fly to our destination, then travel by a comfortable motor coach with anywhere from 35 to 50 people who appreciate learning about new regions. Your entire trip will be guided, planned, and arranged for your upmost enjoyment. Many activities are things you can only do because you are traveling with Our State. There is some free time built in for you to explore on your own.
You can also choose not to attend an activity if you prefer something different. Please let your tour director know if you are not coming on a scheduled day.
Many meals are included. Where you have meals on your own, suggestions will be provided.
Most of the motor coaches have restrooms but every effort will be made to make regular rest stops.
One of the best parts of traveling with Our State is that you will meet new people, many of whom you will already have much in common with since most travelers read the magazine. Many guests often develop friendships that go on long after the tour is finished. Our State trips are generally filled with dynamic and friendly people.
Physical requirements:
Our tours are physically active but not meant to be strenuous.
Please be aware you will be on your feet, walking and standing for much of the day, indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions and terrains. There will also be extended time on the motor coach when we travel from place to place. If there are any mobility issues you will need to have an able-bodied traveling companion to accompany and assist you.
Most days are moderately paced with approximately two to three total miles of walking, possibly including some hills and stairs.
We regret that we’re unable to provide individual assistance to guests with walking difficulties or other personal needs. The responsibility of the Trip Director who accompanies your trip is to ensure that the larger group enjoys a relaxing and informative journey, and he or she cannot be relied upon to provide ongoing individual assistance to any one guest. Guests requiring such individualized assistance must be accompanied by an able-bodied companion who can provide it.
