Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrive Montreal
Upon arrival in Montreal, meet your Tour Director and transfer to your hotel. Montreal is the second largest French-speaking city in the world. Tonight, meet your fellow Our State travelers for a Wine & Beer Reception before enjoying a Welcome Dinner in vibrant Old Town Montreal, which dates to the 1600s.

Day 2: Montreal City Tour
With its dual English and French cultures, Montreal is Canada’s most cosmopolitan city. This morning, enjoy a Montreal City Tour highlighting the St. Joseph’s Oratory, Jacques Cartier Square, McGill University, and a panoramic view of the city from atop Mount Royal. Visit the Notre Dame Cathedral and have the opportunity to meet organist Pierre Grandmaison. The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure to explore the quaint shops, boutiques, and restaurants of this amazing city.

Day 3: Montreal – Rail Journey – Quebec City
This morning, board Via Rail Canada for the scenic and relaxing train ride to the “Paris of North America,” Quebec City. Carved into the bluffs overlooking the St. Lawrence River, Quebec City is the provincial capital and probably the best preserved city in North America. Upon arrival, a short drive takes you to Montmorency Falls, the highest falls in Eastern Canada ⎯ 98 feet higher than Niagara Falls. Dinner is included this evening.

Day 4: Quebec City Tour
This morning, meet a Canadian Mountie for your Quebec City Tour introducing you to Old & New Quebec, North America’s only walled city. The tour features the Plains of Abraham, the famous Le Chateau Frontenac, and The Citadel. Later, enjoy a visit to one of Canada’s infamous Maple Sugar Shacks to sample the sweet local product. Quebec City was once the center of New France and has been the focal point of French and British battles for generations. Here, the residents are French Canadian from their food and customs to their language and way of thinking. The afternoon is at leisure to explore this great Canadian city on your own.

Day 5: Quebec City – Ottawa
Today, travel along the banks of the St. Lawrence River, a route used by early French explorers and fur traders, to Canada’s stately capital city, Ottawa. Enjoy an Ottawa City Tour to see the Parliament Buildings located high above the Ottawa River on historic Parliament Hill, the Supreme Court, the Prime Minister’s residence, the War Memorial, the Peace Tower, Byward Market, and Rideau Canal. This evening, enjoy dinner with your fellow Our State travelers in Ottawa at a popular local restaurant.

Day 6: Ottawa – 1000 Islands – Toronto
After breakfast, enjoy the scenery as you travel to the 1000 Islands area which is made up of 1864 islands straddling the Canada-US border. Arrive in the Kingston area to board your 1,000 Islands Cruise to travel among some of the large and tiny islands. Later travel to Toronto, Canada’s largest city and the fourth largest economy in North America. Check in to your hotel for a one night stay.

Day 7: Toronto-Niagara on the Lake-Niagara Falls
This morning, enjoy a Toronto City Tour featuring the modern downtown area, Yorkville, and the Provincial Parliament. Later, visit Niagara-on- the-Lake, a charming Canadian town located where the Niagara River meets Lake Ontario. Then, travel to Niagara Falls and check into your hotel for a two night stay.

Day 8: Niagara Falls
Today, enjoy a Niagara Falls City Tour featuring the Floral Clock (the largest in the world) and the Horticultural Center. Later, experience the legendary Niagara Falls Boat Tour for a breathtaking up-close encounter with the awe-inspiring thundering falls. Other than the falls themselves, the boat excursion is the most famous attraction in the area. Tonight, enjoy your Our State Farewell Dinner at the “Oh Canada Eh?!” Dinner Show featuring a family-style meal with multi-talented singers and actors performing Canadian songs.
