Each year on Valentine’s Day, most people exchange chocolate, cards, flowers, and gifts. I like to give the gift of mixing up a great cocktail for my valentine. I recently concocted this chocolate cherry cream cocktail that is my new go-to drink for Valentine’s Day.

As I’ve grown older, I’ve realized the true meaning of holidays: It’s not about how much money you spend or the number of gifts you give. The gift of someone’s precious time and effort is what is meaningful to me. It is truly priceless, and that’s why I’m perfectly content spending a night at home with a special home-cooked Valentine’s meal and cocktails.

This cocktail is perfect for Valentine’s Day: Not only is it pretty and pink, it’s drizzled with chocolate syrup and topped with a maraschino cherry. What says “Happy Valentine’s Day” more than chocolate and cherries?
