Mimmy’s Homemade Lemon Ice Cream

Makes 1 quart

  • 6 lemons, juiced
  • 2 teaspoons water
  • 2 tablespoons lemon rind
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 2 quarts whole milk (I have also used 1% but whole milk is richer.)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Combine all ingredients and cool for several hours before following ice cream maker’s instructions.
