Mimmy’s Homemade Lemon Ice Cream
Makes 1 quart
- 6 lemons, juiced
- 2 teaspoons water
- 2 tablespoons lemon rind
- 3 cups sugar
- 2 quarts whole milk (I have also used 1% but whole milk is richer.)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Combine all ingredients and cool for several hours before following ice cream maker’s instructions.
