Traditional Voices Group

The Traditional Voices Group (TVG) of Burnsville is dedicated to preserving the stories and culture of our mountain heritage. Featured in the February 2012 issue of Our State, the group hosts RiddleFest – a celebration of Lesley Riddle, a native son whose talent shaped the ear of country music.

This video is a collection of mountain stories and features voice-overs from narrators reading excerpts from several interviews conducted by the TVG. Paintings by the late John Doyle serve as the backdrop. Ron Powell provides the background music; Bunnie McIntosh and Danny McIntosh narrate. Video production courtesy of Tracy McAuliffe.
