“To my surprise, a full-service restaurant is located right on the premises,” Lingafelt says. “I walked in to find a sparkling clean, racing-themed restaurant.”
Dale Jarrett Ford, four miles east of Interstate 485 on Andrew Jackson Highway, sells more Fords than any other dealership in the Charlotte area, with 33 acres of cars and a 100-car showroom. Lingafelt, however, is all about the food at DJ’s.
“They have some of the best livermush and grits I’ve ever tasted — sorry, Mom,” he says. “I don’t know what they do, but they do have a passion for good Southern cooking.”
