Simple Syrup:
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
Mocktail:
Ice
2 ounces cranberry juice
1 ounce fresh lime juice
1 ounce fresh orange juice
½ ounce simple syrup
Thin orange twist or lime wheel (for garnish)
For the simple syrup: Combine 1 cup water with 1 cup sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat, and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring until sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature before transferring to an air-tight container or squeeze bottle. Syrup will keep up to 1 week in refrigerator.
For the mocktail: In a cocktail tin filled with ice, combine all ingredients and shake vigorously until outside of tin is very cold. Strain into a chilled martini glass, and garnish with an orange twist or lime wheel.
